Fastest Brush In The West

Giants by 3? Who would of thought?

"The picture, as it's being made, follows the mobility of thought." (Pablo Picasso)

I paint fast. Very fast. I do not sketch in advance. Most of my art is coming from a developing mental process, not letting detail slow me down. Sure, detail is important, but save it for the last phase when you can slow down. Otherwise, get it out and on the wall (or canvas, paper or body). I would think that painting or drawing slowly would be self defeating. It would wear you out and become very boring. Working fast, at least in the beginning, has the advantage of spontaneity. The brush (or pen, pencil, pastel) follows the brain and becomes an extension of the though process.

If you check the time stamp of the text message I sent you yesterday you would realize that I predicted just that, down to the point spread, only minutes after kick-off! I wonder how much cash I would have won had i been able to put down a real bet?

Fast art is always better, isn't it? I sketch fast because it helps build the texture and structure of the image I want. if I get picky i can go back and erase or cover the fugly bits.

I did notice that you predicted the outcome right to the point. Don't know what you would have won, but probably not a lot. Sports bets are always on the skimpy side with the casinos. Good prediction none the less.

For sure! You certainly are the fastest brush in all the land! I can't wait to see some of your new work. Is it posted on here, somewhere that i can see?

Hoping to keep it on here. Check out johnrholland.com as well. I also have johnhollandfineart.com, but need to put more on that one.
